The holidays are all about great food, spending time with friends and family, and showing gratitude. But sometimes, we all just need to step away for a moment.
Here are a few of our favorite coffee shops in Bergen County where you can indulge in some space, a bit of caffeine, and maybe even a sweet treat.
1. Aroma Espresso Bar
Hit up the Aroma Espresso Bar in the Garden State Plaza Mall to finish up last minute shopping and fuel up on a delicious espresso concoction. If you’re looking for a bite that isn’t the traditional holiday fare, be sure to check out one of their fresh salads or sandwiches.
2. Caffe Anello
The smells coming from Caffe Anello will have your mouth watering before you even walk in the door. Not only are their coffee and espresso offerings top-notch, they also have some of the best crepes in New Jersey. Our favorite? It’s hard to choose, but for a festive treat, try the apple and cinnamon-filled Fairview Avenue crepe.
3. Glaze Donuts
Nothing says indulgence like a fresh glazed donut and a steaming cup of coffee on a chilly day. Glaze Donuts is one of the best donut shops in Bergen County, with customers raving about their handmade donuts and impressive coffee menu. Be sure to try one of their seasonal donut creations such as Pecan Pie or Pumpkin Glazed. If you want to bring something back for the whole family to enjoy, their donut tower is sure to be a hit.
4. KoffeeWagon Coffee Roasters
For small batch coffee with an array of flavors, look no further than KoffeeWagon Coffee Roasters. Cosmopolitan dubbed their cold brew “amazing,” and we couldn’t agree more. Bonus: if you or a place of work consumes more than 10 pounds of coffee a week, they offer wholesale!
5. Erie Coffeeshop Bakery
This place has coffee galore, but they also make some of the tastiest desserts in the area. Cakes, pies, croissants, breads, and a regularly changing seasonal menu make Erie Coffeeshop Bakery an unforgettable foodie experience. Sit for a quiet cup o’ Joe and then grab a holiday pie to take home.
Wherever you find yourself this holiday season, we wish you well—and bon appétit!
