Our Skin Rejuvenation Treatment Options

There are no one-size-fits-all skin rejuvenation treatments. That’s why we offer multiple options, each backed by clinical studies, that work both as standalone treatments and when combined with other procedures. These include the Halo hybrid fractional laser, ProFractional™ erbium laser, Forever Young BBL® (BroadBand Light), and FaceTite™ skin tightening.

Each of our treatments provides unique benefits. Our licensed nurses and aestheticians meet with patients to discuss their concerns and examine their skin’s tone and texture.

Halo

Halo’s revolutionary technology offers patients with multiple skin concerns a fully customizable treatment without the downtime of other lasers. The Parker Center for Plastic Surgery was the first practice in the greater New York metropolitan area to offer Halo.

What Is a Hybrid Fractional Laser?

What makes Halo unique is its ability to simultaneously deliver both ablative and non-ablative wavelengths in the same area, maximizing results and minimizing downtime. This means we can treat both mild and severe concerns on the skin’s surface (epidermis) and below the surface (dermis) with a single pass of the laser.

During the procedure, Halo determines the exact amount of energy needed to complete treatment safely and effectively based on your unique concerns. This results in a precise and even treatment.

Ablative vs. Non-Ablative Lasers

Because Halo offers dual lasers, patients can benefit from both ablative and non-ablative results without the disadvantage of increased downtime.

Traditional ablative lasers offer dramatic results by removing the outer layers of damaged skin during treatment. This triggers the body’s healing response, which produces new collagen for smoother, firmer skin.

Traditionally used for treating signs of aging, sun damage, and scarring, ablative lasers can produce long-lasting results. However, ablative lasers often come with a longer recovery period, with potential side effects that include redness, swelling, infection, or pigmentation changes.

Non-ablative lasers are considerably less invasive, though results may not be as fast or dramatic as ablative treatments. By heating tissue without destroying it, non-ablative lasers stimulate collagen production to address minor skin imperfections, scarring, and fine lines. Multiple treatments are often required, but downtime is minimal and side effects are greatly reduced.

What Does Halo Treat?

Halo treats various skin concerns ranging from mild to severe, renewing the complexion.

Visible signs of aging: The laser’s ablative wavelengths provide dramatic results when treating wrinkles and fine lines. For age spots or uneven skin tone, non-ablative wavelengths simultaneously offer visible improvement with little to no downtime.

Sun damage: Halo diminishes the appearance of sunspots, uneven skin tone, and hyperpigmentation caused by sun damage.

Scarring: If you feel self-conscious about acne, chickenpox, or other scars, Halo reduces their appearance and leaves your skin smooth and soft.

How Much Does a Halo Laser Treatment Cost?

The cost of a Halo laser treatment depends on several factors. We provide a specific price when you come in for your cosmetic consultation.

What To Expect

Because Halo incorporates both ablative and non-ablative wavelengths, downtime is drastically reduced compared to other fractional lasers.

We apply a numbing agent on your skin to minimize discomfort. During the procedure, Halo’s integrated cooling system cools your skin to enhance your comfort. The applicator constantly monitors the skin’s temperature, ensuring safe and accurate treatment.

You will experience peeling for the first few days after treatment as your damaged skin comes off and new, radiant skin is revealed. We’ll provide detailed skincare instructions you should follow during the first several days after the procedure.

Forever Young BBL

Broadband light therapy has been a longtime favorite for photorejuvenation and dramatically improving the appearance of aging skin. Forever Young BBL takes it to the next level. Forever Young works by penetrating the skin with invisible infrared light to stimulate changes at the molecular level. This process safely and effectively reinvigorates your cells and changes them to more closely resemble younger skin. Forever Young improves the skin’s firmness, elasticity, and pigmentation—leaving you with a clearer, smoother, and more youthful appearance.

Forever Young BBL
Case 1 of 1

Forever Young BBL is the first and only treatment shown to alter the expression of genes closely related to aging, longevity, and increased lifespan. This means that with regular treatment, your skin will progressively look younger, smoother, and healthier because the treatment reverses skin cell aging, as a study on the long-term effects of BBL light1 found.

Which Is Better, Forever Young BBL or Halo?

Combining Forever Young BBL and Halo is ideal for addressing multiple concerns and getting long-lasting, stunning results. We have found that a treatment course that includes both treatments produces the most dramatic improvement at both the surface and deeper skin layers.

How Do the Combined Halo and BBL Treatments Work?

After meeting with one of our practitioners to evaluate your concerns and determine if this course of treatment is the best option for you, you’ll schedule your first session. Here’s what to expect:

Treatment 1: Your first treatment will include both Halo and BBL. Because it is a combined treatment, your skin may need a few extra days to heal, though side effects should be minimal and resolve quickly with proper aftercare.

Treatments 2 through 4: After your skin heals, we will follow up with 3 additional BBL treatments performed every 3 weeks.

Treatment 5 (if necessary): Depending on the severity of your concerns, your treatment course may also include one final Halo treatment.

You’ll see gradual improvements to the tone, texture, and quality of your skin during the series of combined treatments.

Skin Care During Treatment Series

During your treatment course, it’s important to properly care for your skin. We will provide you with specific aftercare instructions, though you should ensure you are properly moisturizing and protecting your skin as it heals. That means avoiding direct sun exposure and always wearing a broad-spectrum sunscreen.

What Are the Benefits of Combining Halo and BBL Treatments?

Combining the treatments results in:

  • Clearer, more evenly toned skin
  • Reduced fine lines and wrinkles, so your skin is smoother
  • Firmer, more elastic skin that creates a “lifted” appearance
  • Minimized blemishes, scars, and hyperpigmentation

Overall, your skin will look younger, healthier, and softer.

Combining With Other Treatments

Combining skin tightening with skin resurfacing treatments results in a more comprehensive rejuvenation. We combine Morpheus8 radiofrequency with the Halo laser as a nonsurgical facelift alternative called the Parker Rejuvenation Lift.

The combination of non-ablative fractional laser, radiofrequency energy, and intense pulsed light, such as BBL, is especially effective for skin rejuvenation around the eyes, as a 2022 study showed.2

FaceTite

The FDA-cleared FaceTite treatment uses focused radiofrequency (RF) energy to remodel skin and subcutaneous tissue (below the skin), improving age-related skin laxity and restoring a firmer, smoother, more naturally youthful appearance to your features.

What Are the Benefits of FaceTite?

FaceTite tightens cheeks and adds definition to the jawline, chin, and neck. It offers a variety of benefits, which include:

  • Minimally invasive, in-office procedure
  • Can be performed with only local anesthesia
  • Minimal downtime in most patients
  • Virtually scarless—the procedure is done using a tiny needle
  • Dramatic improvements possible with one treatment
  • Helps postpone the need for a surgical facelift
  • Reliable, safe, and consistent outcomes

BodyTite, which employs the same FDA-cleared technology as FaceTite, is used for larger areas such as the abdomen, hips, back, thighs, chest, and upper arms.

How Much Does FaceTite Cost?

At Parker Center, the cost of a FaceTite treatment depends on the treatment areas. We will give you a personalized cost estimate at your private cosmetic consultation.

What To Expect

Dr. Parker uses a local anesthetic to numb the treatment area before starting the procedure. He then inserts an applicator with a thin probe and an external RF transmitter and gently moves it under the skin. The probe emits RF energy, heating tissue and the network of fibrous bands that give the skin structure and support. The sophisticated instrumentation monitors the internal and external temperatures for precisely heating these tissues beneath the skin. The heat stimulates collagen formation and the contraction of soft tissues and skin during the ensuing months.

Who Is a Good Candidate for FaceTite?

FaceTite is great for patients who need more lifting and tightening than laser skin resurfacing or fillers alone can achieve but who are not ready for facelift surgery. FaceTite is also an excellent treatment to combine with treatments such as BOTOX® Cosmetic and microneedling. It works best for those experiencing mild to moderate skin sagging and excess fullness. Patients with more pronounced jowls or loose skin on their neck may get better results with facelift surgery.
