Bra Line Back Lift Before & After Case 1314

This 68 year old patient was referred to Dr. Parker by another patient after having had two prior liposuction procedures on her back done elsewhere. She asked him to get rid of the loose skin and back rolls she had. During the initial consultation, with the patient standing in front of a full length mirror, Dr. Parker gently pinched the loose skin on her back simulating what a bra line back lift would do. He explained the procedure to the patient in detail and she indicated she wished to proceed. Prior to the procedure on the day of surgery, Dr. Parker traced the outline of the patient's bra on her back as well as the location of the resultant scar, designed so it would be hidden by the bra. He then pinched the skin above and below the intended incision to estimate the amount of skin to be removed. Once in the operating room, with under general anesthesia with the patient in prone position, Dr. Parker removed the loose skin and fat, as drawn. He then carefully closed the incision with multiple layers of sutures. The patient was pleased by the relative ease and lack of pain with her recovery. She loves the contour of her back with her back rolls eliminated and the ability to conceal the scar easily with her bra.
