Tummy Tuck Before & After Case 1486

This 36 year old requested Dr. Parker to address two issues: improve the soft excess on her back and improve the appearance of her lower abdomen and high-riding, irregular abdominoplasty scar, a procedure she had performed elsewhere a number of years ago. The patient had gained, then lost 90 pounds, in recent years with diet and exercise. She is 5’9” tall, weighs 175 pounds and says her weight is stable. During her consultation with Dr. Parker, options were discussed for both areas of concern.  The patient and Dr. Parker agreed upon a plan to perform a bra line back lift. Regarding the abdomen, they agreed to have Dr. Parker excise the irregularly shaped abdominoplasty scar, even out the thickness of her lower abdominal soft tissues, and re-position the abdominoplasty scar in a lower position.  Dr. Parker explained a secondary tummy tuck, like most secondary procedures, is more difficult than a first time tummy tuck. Because the anatomy is altered by the initial procedure, excellent results can be more difficult to achieve. These procedures were performed several weeks later at the same surgery.
