Upper Arm Rejuvenation Before & After Case 831

This 45 year old asked Dr. Parker to rejuvenate the sagging skin and fat on her arms after a 25 pound weight loss. After examining the patient during her initial consultation, Dr. Parker explained that liposuction could be performed to remove the unwanted fatty tissue from her arms. He elaborated that her skin elasticity was only moderate and skin removal would be needed for a good result to be obtained. He suggested that, in addition to liposuction, a modified (short scar) arm lift procedure be performed whereby skin would be excised using incisions concealed in the armpit area. The patient liked this idea and wished to proceed. At surgery several weeks later under local anesthesia, Dr. Parker removed 300 cc of fat from each arm with SAFE liposuction. In addition, he excised and tightened her skin using the armpit incisions discussed. The patient had very little bruising and no pain after surgery. She is very happy with the nicely improved appearance of her rejuvenated arms as well as her armpit scars which continue to become less noticeable every day.
