Breast Augmentation Before & After Case 994
Before & After
Case Details
This 35-year-old requested fuller breasts from Dr. Parker. She explained her breasts had always been smaller than desired, then deflated and sagged after breast feeding. The patient is 5’4″ tall, weighs 125 pounds and wears a 34 B cup. Dr Parker explained her low nipple position on the breast is classified as Grade 2 Ptosis. Recommended treatment of this amount of sagging is usually a peri areolar augmentation mastopexy, that is, inserting a breast implant as well as lifting the areola higher on the breast. The patient was adamant in not wanting a scar around the areola and insisted her implants be inserted through an inframammary incision. Dr Parker explained an alternative procedure. Using an inframammary incision, the breast tissue can be elevated from the underlying pectoralis major muscle and the implant inserted. This way, the patient will achieve a mild breast lift (not to the same degree as a peri areolar mastopexy), and avoids a scar around the areola. This is known as a Dual plane 2 breast augmentation; the patient opted for this technique. During her Sizing Session, the patient chose 300 cc silicone implants. Dr Parker subsequently performed the procedure exactly as he had described it. The patient enjoyed a quick recovery afterwards. She is very happy with the improved appearance of her breasts and having avoided scarring around the areola.
