Breast Implant Revision Before & After Case 1390

This 59 year old is s/p insertion of silicone implants (size unknown at consultation) through inframammary incisions in 1989 by another plastic surgeon. Recent testing with a breast MRI was read as bilateral intracapsular ruptures. The patient wished to downsize her implants and make her breasts somewhat smaller. During her consultation, these goals were discussed. Dr. Parker also recommended performing vertical mastopexies to lift and create a more youthful shape to her breasts. At surgery, Dr. Parker removed the patient’s 260 cc implants and replaced them with 200 cc silicone implants. He reduced the size of the implant pockets with thermal capsulorraphies, then performed a vertical mastopexy, or lollipop lift, on each breast. The patient recovered quickly and easily. She loves the size and shape of her breasts as well as the virtually imperceptible scarring.
