Breast Implant Revision Before & After Case 1422
Before & After
Case Details
This 65 year old, referred to Dr. Parker by another patient, requested removal and replacement of her saline breast implants which were inserted 20 years ago. The patient says the right implant has progressively deflated over the past year. She would like to switch to same-size silicone implants. During the patient’s consultation, Dr. Parker explained that her right implant had partially deflated and left breast had developed capsular contracture. He recommended addressing both issues. At surgery, using the patient’s healed inframammary scars, Dr. Parker removed an intact 300 cc saline implant from a dual plane location in the left breast along with the surrounding thickened capsule using a neo subpectoral pocket approach. He inserted a 300 cc silicone implant. In the right breast, he re-expanded the somewhat collapsed thin capsule on that side and inserted a 350 cc silicone implant to even out the pre existing asymmetry in the breasts. The patient said the recovery was easy and is very happy with the natural look and feel of her implants.
