Breast Implant Revision Before & After Case 517
Before & After
Case Details
This 37 year old was referred to Dr. Parker by another patient. She came in requesting revision of her prior breast augmentation whereby 450 cc high profile saline implants were inserted by another plastic surgeon in subglandular pockets using inframammary incisions. The patient felt her implants looked un-natural, were too large, sat too high on her chest and the left breast was larger than the right. The patient is 5’3″ tall and weighs 125 pounds. During the patient’s initial consultation, Dr. Parker reviewed a number of options and together they decided on the following plan: the existing implants would be removed from their subglandular pockets and replaced with smaller, more moderate profile implants in partial submuscular pockets using the original incisions. In a preoperative Sizing Session, the patient opted for a 365 cc implant on the right side and a smaller implant on the left side to provide the closest match possible. At surgery, using the patient’s existing inframammary incisions, Dr Parker implemented the plan as discussed. He determined a 315 cc saline implant on the left side provided the closest match to the 365 cc implant on the right side. The patient said her recovery was pain free, quick and easy. She is very happy with her somewhat smaller breasts, which she says look and feel much more natural to her.
