Breast Implant Revision Before & After Case 584
Before & After
Case Details
This 49 year old, referred to Dr. Parker by another patient, had undergone subglandular, saline breast augmentation by another plastic surgeon 11 years earlier. She complained that her right breast was larger than the left, and the implant moved laterally a great deal when she exercised. She found the left breast firm and uncomfortable. The patient is 5′9″ tall and weighs 136 pounds. Dr. Parker’s examination determined bilateral capsular contractures with a tear in the capsule on the right side. He recommended and performed bilateral capsulectomies with removal of the existing 300cc saline implants. He then inserted silicone implants into partial submuscular pockets, using a 325 cc implant of the right side and 350cc implant on the left to achieve better symmetry. The patient recovered very quickly from this procedure and is delighted with the size, shape and softness of her silicone implants. She no longer experiences any discomfort on the left side or unusual movement on the right side with exercise.
