Breast Implant Revision Before & After Case 607

This 55 year old developed bilateral capsular contracture after silicone breast augmentation was performed elsewhere a number of years ago. As her pain recently increased in the right breast, she asked Dr. Parker to fix things. Dr Parker explained her risk of recurrent capsular contracture was high due to her having developed it both breasts. The best way to minimize this risk would be to perform bilateral capsulectomies, insert new implants as well as acellular dermal matrix (ADM). The patient said she understood and wished to have this performed. At surgery, Dr. Parker carried out this plan, inserting a 400 cc silicone in the right breast and 350 cc in the left, in order to address her pre-existing asymmetry.
