Breast Implant Revision Before & After Case 906
Before & After
Case Details
This 42 year old patient had breast augmentation 2 years earlier with another plastic surgeon. One year later, she developed capsular contracture on the right breast, which the same surgeon treated with capsulectomy and implant replacement. In recent months, the right breast had again become hard and very painful. Dr. Parker explained that since she had already failed her first treatment of capsular contracture, he would need to again perform a capsulectomy and insert a new implant as well as acellular dermal matrix (ADM) to reduce the chance of recurrent capsular contracture. The patient understood this logic and this procedure was performed. The patient was pleased with the relative ease of her recovery. She is very happy with the appearance and feel of her natural looking, soft breasts.
