Breast Implant Revision Before & After Case 982
Before & After
Case Details
This 53 year old came to Dr. Parker requesting smaller, uplifted breasts for her daughter's upcoming wedding. She had undergone a TUBA (transumbilical breast augmentation) procedure many year ago with an unknown size saline implant in the subglandular position. She gained a tremendous amount of weight afterwards, had bariatric surgery, then lost 100 pounds following that. She has maintained this weight for some time. The patient is 5'4" tall, weighs 178 pounds and wears a 36F cup. Dr Parker discussed treatment options with the patient in detail. She opted to remove her current implants, replace them with silicone implants in a partial submuscular location and have a lollipop lift. A Sizing Session was done prior to surgery at which time the saline implants were deflated: 800 cc of saline were removed from each implant. The patient opted for 450 cc silicone implants to provide youthful fullness to the upper pole of her breasts; she felt the upper pole of her breasts would be too deflated without implants. Subsequently, surgery was performed. Dr Parker removed the subglandular saline implants and surrounding capsule, closed off the subglandular space with sutures, created a partial submuscular pocket for the 450 cc silicone implants and inserted these, then performed a lollipop lift. The patient recovered quickly afterwards with very little pain. She is very happy with her results and loves the markedly improved size as well as the shape of her breasts.
