Breast Lift with Implants Before & After Case 469
Before & After
Case Details
This 44 year old was referred to Dr. Parker by another patient. She requested enhancement of her small, “B cup” breasts. She said her breasts had always been small, but became even smaller after two pregnancies, and volume was lost from the upper portion of her breasts.
The patient is 5’8” tall and weighs 145 pounds. After carefully examining the patient, Dr. Parker shared his plan for correcting her pre-existing breast asymmetries: the left breast was larger and drooped more than the right, the right breast fold(inframammary fold) was higher than that on the left and the nipple/ areola on the right higher than on the left side. Dr Parker explained improvement could be obtained by inserting a slightly larger implant on the right side, lowering the right breast fold, and performing a small breast lift(periareolar mastopexy) on the left side to make it more equal to the right.
At surgery, Dr Parker inserted a 425 cc high profile implant into the right breast and 400 cc into the left, lowered the right inframammary fold and lifted the left nipple areolar complex 1.6 cm with a periareolar mastopexy. Even though the patient was under general anesthesia for the surgery, Dr. Parker raised the back of the operating table so the patient was in a sitting position. This allowed him to accurately assess the symmetry of the breasts as these modifications were made. The patient healed quickly and has been thrilled with her enhanced, more symmetrical breasts from the moment she woke up after surgery.
