Breast Lift with Implants Before & After Case 993
Before & After
Case Details
This 24-year-old said her breasts have always been smaller than desired; she wanted them fuller but did not want any scarring around the areola or lifting procedures. The patient is 5’6″ tall, weighs 151 pounds and wears a 34 B cup. Dr Parker explained her low nipple position on the breast is classified as Grade 2 ptosis. The usual recommended treatment of this degree of asymmetric sagging is a peri areolar augmentation mastopexy, that is, inserting breast implants and lifting the areolas higher on the breast. The patient was adamant in not wanting scarring around the areola and insisted her implants be inserted through inframammary incisions. Dr Parker explained an alternative procedure he's performed in situations like this. Through an inframammary incision, the breast tissue is lifted off the underlying pectoralis major muscle and the implant inserted. By doing this, the patient will achieve a mild breast lift (not to the same degree as a peri areolar mastopexy), avoiding a scar around the areola. It will be difficult to make the areolas the same height, however. This is called as a Dual plane 2-3 breast augmentation and the patient chose this technique. During her Sizing Session, the patient selected 500 cc silicone implants. Several weeks later, Dr Parker performed the procedure exactly as described. The patient said her recovery was quick and easy. She said she appreciated Dr Parker's creativity as well as him carefully listening to her, then coming up with treatment plan which achieved her goals, yet avoided scarring around the areola.
