Eyelid Lift Before & After Case 1507

This 58 year old patient was referred to Dr. Parker by another patient requesting improvement in the appearance of her upper and lower eyelids. She had Lasik a number of years ago with subsequent mild dry eye symptoms treated with periodic OTC tears. The patient wanted her excess upper eyelid skin gone so she can wear mascara as well as the puffiness in her lower eyelids gone. Dr. Parker subsequently performed an upper and lower eyelid blepharoplasty. He removed the excess skin from the patient’s upper eyelids, then addressed her lower eyelids. There, he excised the excess lower eyelid fat through transconjunctival incisions, transferred fat to her nasojugal grooves (to soften and improve her lid-cheek junction), excised the excess lower eyelid skin, performed a lateral canthopexy, then a 30% TCA peel to improve the remaining lower eyelid skin. The patient was very pleased with her quick recovery and loves the natural appearance of her eyelids. She has received many favorable comments and loves how natural they look.
