Facelift Before & After Case 1436

This 67 year old asked Dr. Parker to improve upon the puffiness of her lower eyelids, full and square appearance of her lower face as well as the heaviness in her neck. She says her weight is stable. Dr. Parker discussed treatment options with the patient and they agreed for him to perform a lower eyelid blepharoplasty as well as a face and neck lift which he did several weeks later. At surgery, Dr. Parker excised the patient’s herniated lower eyelid fat through transconjunctival incisions, excised her loose lower eyelid skin, performed a lateral canthopexy to tighten the lower eyelid as well as a 30% trichloroacetic acid (TCA) peel. In her face, he performed a biplaner SMAS facelift. In the neck, through a limited submental incision, Dr. Parker excised the patient’s subplatysmal fat and performed a medial platysmaplasty. Through her peri-aurcular incisions, a lateral platysma suspension was performed and he appropriately excised the patient’s loose skin. During the healing process, the patient formed some relatively thick scars behind her ears, which she says is genetic. Dr. Parker was able to effectively treat and resolve these. The  patient is very happy with her natural-looking, but improved appearance.
