Facelift Before & After Case 33

This 51 year old existing patient of Dr. Parker’s requested rejuvenation of her upper and lower eyelids as well as facial aging. The patient said she had limited downtime for recovery. She admitted to smoking but agreed to stop several weeks before and after surgery to optimize her healing and avoid complications. Dr. Parker performed an upper lid blepharoplasty and right brow pexy in an effort to optimize symmetry. Regarding the patient’s lower eyelids, Dr. Parker removed the herniated fat responsible for her lower lid puffiness through incisions concealed on the inside of the eyelids. He applied a trichloroacetic acid peel to the skin of the lower eyelids to tighten and smooth it. In addition, he performed a lateral canthopexy to create a more youthful shape to the lower lids. Dr. Parker then performed a biplanar facelift through well-hidden incisions in front of and behind the ears. This allowed him to elevate the patient’s descended facial fat into a more youthful and anatomic position with internal sutures. He then removed the redundant skin and closed these incisions with sutures so they are not noticeable. The patient recovered quickly and well afterward. She was recently at a family party and told by everyone how great she looked. She feels the same and is thrilled with her results.
