Neck Contouring Before & After Case 1215

This 24 year old patient requested improvement in the contour of her neck, which has been full as long as she can remember. She said her mother has the same issue. During the patient's consultation, Dr. Parker reviewed options with her. He explained that patients like her with long standing fullness in their neck, along with a family history of that problem, commonly have deep seated fat beneath the medial  platysma muscles. Dr. Parker recommended a Minimal-Incision Neck Contouring procedure, to be performed under local anesthesia. He explained that he would use a short, well-concealed submental incision in the natural chin crease to remove the excess fat from beneath the platysma muscles. He would then suture them back together (called a "medial platysmaplasty").  Finally, he would perform liposuction of the lateral neck using tiny access incisions hidden behind her ears. The patient agreed and Dr. Parker subsequently performed this procedure. The patient was comfortable throughout the procedure and said the recovery was easy. She is very happy with the significantly improved contour of her neck and no visible scarring.
