Neck Contouring Before & After Case 1481

This 33 year old patient complained of a longstanding fullness in her neck which lacked contour. When Dr. Parker examined the patient, he noted and explained to the patient, that she had excess pre platysmal fat as well as subplatysmal fat. He further explained to the patient that the pre platysmal fat could be removed with liposuction and the subplatysmal fat with direct excision through a small submental incision. A platysmaplasty would be performed to tighten the medial platysma muscles. Because the patient had good skin tone, no additional incisions would be required. In effect, the patient would have a minimal incision neck lift which could be performed under local anesthesia. The patient enthusiastically agreed with this plan. The surgery was subsequently performed by Dr. Parker several weeks later. The patient said the procedure and recovery were easy. She is thrilled by the significantly improved appearance of her neck and jawline.
