Otoplasty Before & After Case 896

This 28 year old was referred to Dr. Parker by another patient and requested him to improve the appearance of her protruding ears. Under local anesthesia, Dr. Parker performed an otoplasty using incisions carefully hidden in the crease behind each ear. He corrected the shape of her ears by reducing the size of the concha and setting it back with sutures to give the ears a normal shape. The incisions hidden behind the patient’s ears were closed with dissolvable sutures. By virtue of where they are located, the scars are inconspicuous afterwards. The patient said her recovery was easy; she is very happy with the improved shape of her ears.
