Abdominoplasty Before & After Case 725
Before & After
Case Details
This 56 year old was referred to Dr. Parker by his wife, an existing patient of Dr. Parker’s for evaluation of his protruding abdomen along with lower abdominal and back pain which occurred during heavy weight lifting. Though a CT scan showed no evidence of a hernia, Dr. Parker and the patient’s neurologist felt he had significantly stretched his abdominal muscles. They agreed along with the patient that tightening his abdominal musculature was indicated. In surgery, Dr. Parker tightened the patient’s rectus abdominal musculofascial laxity as part of a lipoabdominoplasty procedure. He also liposuctioned the patient’s flanks, removing 800 cc of fat from the right and larger side as well as 600 cc from the left. The patient recovered well after surgery. He no longer has any abdominal or back pain, allowing him to return to vigorous workouts with his trainer. He also loves the improved appearance of his abdomen and flanks.
