Chin Implant Before & After Case 1354

This 23 year old patient asked Dr Parker to improve his crooked nose, dorsal hump and profile, set back his over-projecting nasal tip and improve his  obstructed breathing on both sides. The patient and his father requested Dr. Parker maintain a strong male nose. After examining the patient, Dr. Parker discussed a proposed surgical plan to improve the patient’s nose and also suggested a chin augmentation to achieve better facial balance. He reviewed the patient’s computer imaging during the initial consultation to help demonstrate what the nose should look like. The patient liked what he saw and proceeded with the surgery recommended by Dr. Parker.. At surgery, Dr. Parker used an open rhinoplasty approach to reduce the patient’s significant bony and cartilaginous hump along with lateral osteotomies and infractures, straightened his crooked nose with spreader grafts, refined and set back his over-projecting nasal  tip, including the use of a septal extension graft. He improved his breathing with bilateral septoturbinotomies and a septoplasty. A size #3 extended anatomic silicone implant was inserted as well to build out the chin. Postoperatively, the patient is delighted with his much- improved, natural looking strong male nose as well as his now normal breathing.
