Eyelid Surgery Before & After Case 14
Before & After
Case Details
This 56 year old expressed concern about facial aging. Specifically, he was bothered by the puffiness of his lower eyelids and heaviness of his upper eyelids. He had undergone an upper and lower lid blepharoplasty elsewhere 30 years ago. Dr. Parker performed an upper lid blepharoplasty to remove the excess upper eyelid skin. Through the upper eyelid incisions, Dr. Parker excised the corrugator and procerus muscles as well as performed an internal lateral brow pexy to lift the tail of the brow. Using a transconjunctival approach in the lower eyelids, Dr. Parker removed the patient’s herniated fat and transferred it to the nasojugal grooves. A conservative amount of skin was excised and a lateral canthopexy suture inserted to support the lower lid during the healing process. Postoperatively, the patient was very pleased with the rejuvenated appearance of his eyes. He has received many favorable comments about his more youthful, yet natural appearance.
