Otoplasty Before & After Case 235

This 17 year old, referred to Dr. Parker by an Ear, Nose and Throat surgeon, requested correction of his prominent left ear. He was content with the appearance of his right ear and merely wished better symmetry. Under local anesthesia, a unilateral otoplasty was performed by Dr. Parker on the left ear. He carefully inserted sutures to create an anti-helical fold on this ear to match the anti-helical fold on the right ear. The patient’s recovery was painless and rapid. He is quite pleased with his result and the symmetry between his ears.
