Nonsurgical Face Procedures Before & After Case 90
Before & After
Case Details
This 60 year old patient was first referred to Dr. Parker 3 years ago by her primary care physician with concerns about the heaviness of her upper eyelids. Dr. Parker performed an upper lid blepharoplasty on the patient to remove her excess skin and a small amount of herniated fat. She healed well after the surgery. She returned 3 years later saying she feels she “looks tired” after years of sun exposure and smoking. The patient was smoking one pack of cigarettes per day at the time. Dr. Parker discussed options with her. They agreed to perform a modified Baker Gordon or Hetter croton oil peel to resurface her facial skin. Dr. Parker told the patient she needed to stop smoking several weeks before the peel and would benefit from preparation of the skin prior to the peel. Several months later, after preparing her skin as advised and not smoking, Dr. Parker performed the croton oil peel. The patient’s recovery was exactly as outlined to her by Dr. Parker and his nurse coordinator, Angela, with swelling and peeling skin for approximately 10 days. As the old skin peeled away, the patient was thrilled to see her damaged skin and wrinkles replaced by younger, healthier looking skin. She is very happy to have undergone the procedure and is determined to maintain its results going forward.
